This village is very nice and charming and is a bit larger than many of its neighboring towns. This place is also a hub for many of the ferries that go to the various villages or historic buildings you can visit along Lake Como. The town has a couple of well-known long staircases that lead you either down to the harbor or up to the center of Bellagio. Along these staircases, there are many shops and restaurants offering everything from local specialties like wine or silk, as well as delicacies and shoe stores.
Down by the pier, we also found a very charming little coffee bar that is one of the oldest in Bellagio and has retained its old interior. It's the kind of place we like.
It was pouring rain when we were there during Easter 2024, so it quickly became cold. We sought shelter for lunch at one of Bellagio's pleasant trattorias and had a lovely experience. You can read more about where we ate during Wine and Dine in Bellagio.
